Birmingham Parent Carer Forum
We are a group of voluntary parent carers who have children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Whilst the forum is not a support group, we actively seek to work in collaboration with all parent carers, parent support groups, community groups, schools, voluntary and grassroots organisations to gather voices and experiences to influence change and challenge service design.
What is a Parent Carer Forum?
A parent carer forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children. Their aim is to make sure the services in their area meet the needs of disabled children and their families. They do this by gathering the views of local families and then working in partnership with local authorities, education settings, health providers and other providers to highlight where local services, processes and commissioners are working well, or challenge when changes or improvements need to be made.

Have your say
We are always looking to hear from the Parent Carers of Birmingham. We have created the following survey as a tool to gather feedback from Parent Carers about the services and organisations they use. The survey remains open to be completed at all times and we encourage you to complete it multiple times as your experiences change.
